Due to inclement weather, the Mini-EAST conference was pushed back to February 23rd. We attended the event with a handful of local high schools. Also due to the weather, we did not actually have a booth to assemble. We showed our presentation, and some of our hardcopy materials. The event was great, as always. We thank UACCB for providing the room, the food, and the good time. We hope to see all the schools (and more) next year!

Out with the EAST cameras again, Hillcrest's EAST students have whipped up yet another video. This video shows the tragedy that can occur when texting while driving. This video was directed, filmed, and edited by our 6th hour EAST students. This is second video in our series of videos we are publishing during this semester.

Today, we posted the second video of the series we are publishing online. All of these videos have been directed, filmed, and edited by EAST students using Hillcrest's EAST Lab. The lab purchased some iMacs last year, and they have greatly increased the lab's video capabilities. The first video in the series was some outdoors videos, created by our 4th hour class. The second video, about the dangers of texting and driving, was created by our 6th hour students. Check back on this site for more awesome videos and projects created by our students, and don't be afraid to leave feedback! We'll make sure the aspiring filmmakers will hear your comments!

Our EAST lab has been working hard on creating quality videos using our iMacs. Most (if not all) of our students are new to the Mac interface, so much was learned. We are working to publish these videos on here, so the community can see some interesting projects our EAST has been doing. This article is the first of a series of articles we plan to publish with videos....
